Literacy

it
is
critical
that
students
learn
to
navigate
through
the
world
of
media

make
distinctions
between

bites
and

plain

simple
truth.

understand

electronic
media
is
composed.

behind
them
and
the
key

sense

the

an
advocate

and
families
who
should
be
equipped
and

the

their

organization
needs
to
take
a
moment
to
renew
itself
at
least
once
a
year.
In
this
highly
interactive
series;
staff,
management,
board
members,
volunteers
and
other
stakeholders
are
invited
to
revisit
the
mission,
strengths,
weaknesses
and
opportunities
for
growth
within
the
organization.
We
also
offer
an
analysis
of
the
current
state
which
includes
interviews
with
staff
and
program
recipients
/
customers,
program
observations
and
analysis
of
key
marketing
materials
such
as
brochures,
the
company
website,
etc.
A
strategic
plan
or
set
of
recommendations
can
be
included
in
the
final
report.
Rites
of
Passage:
Development
of
the
Whole
Child
Rite
of
passage
is
an
ancient
practice
that
needs
to
be
revisited
and
revitalized
in
our
complex
modern
world.
It
was
a
process
in
which
teenagers
were
prepared
for
adulthood.
Led
by
community
leaders,
adolescents
are
taught
about
relationships,
family
and
cultural
history,
community
service,
politics
and
community
activism,
spirituality,
communication
and
other
life
skills.
Designed
for
parents,
social
service
professionals
and
community-based
organizations
that
aim
to
incorporate
the
elements
of
a
Rites
of
Passage
program
into
any
type
of
youth-serving
program.
